Package Bees for 2013

In the past several years you may have participated in a group purchase of package bees organized by Jeff Ludwig and Phillip Raines. This group purchase will not continue in 2013. However, you have the opportunity to purchase packages of bees in any quantity directly from the source that has been used for the group purchase.

Beeboppin farm stand

I built this last fall. Looking forward to using it a lot this year. The roof trusses were struts from an old satellite dish.

My hives

I built hive stands that hold 4 hives. Here's a photo of one of them. It's a hot day and I have replaced the inner covers with some screened inner covers I made. You can see the regular inner covers laid across the front to extend the landing platform. Also, the telescoping covers are cocked up in the back for extra ventilation.
